The Shops at the Ellenbrook Shopping Centre will soon commence of the construction of an additional 22,000m2 of retail space to effectively triple the size of the centre.

The Shopping Centre is currently home to 40 shops, cafes and services, including one of the largest Woolworths in Western Australia. The centre currently employs more than 450 people. At completion of Stage 2 in March/April 2011, The Shops will feature 32,000m2 of retail space and will include a leading discount department store, another supermarket, as well as other many other specialty retailers and services.
 
The Shops is expected to create an additional 1000 jobs, representing 27 per cent of the total number of employment opportunities that will be available in the Town Centre by early 2011.
  
Located at the heart of Ellenbrook Town Centre, The Shops currently includes a Woolworths supermarket, a Best & Less discount store, an ANZ bank, a pharmacy, a lawyer, fashion and footwear retailers, beauty services, a newsagent, florist, bakery and liquor store.
